Retro Gold Buckle Watch with Gemstones

Circa 1940. This fantastic Retro-Era cover watch features a buckle motif. The hinged cover is accented with four prong-set, round cabochon-cut natural rubies, and five round brilliant-cut diamonds bead-set in platinum. One side of the watch is accented with a row of four prong-set, round cabochon-cut natural rubies. The champagne-colored dial features black Arabic numerals and stick-style hour markers. The case number "271868" is engraved on the inside of the case. The 17-jewel, manual wind movement was crafted by the Benrus Watch Company. "Modelae 13" is engraved on the movement, which is in working order. The watch is finished with a fancy-link rose gold bracelet.
