Art Nouveau Niello Pocket Watch

Circa 1880. This beautiful silver niello Art Nouveau pocket watch has an open-face case featuring an embossed scene depicting a woman with stars in her hair against a background filled with a crescent moon, stars, and clouds. The watch was crafted by Lip of France. The champagne-colored dial features black Arabic numeral hour markers and a seconds sub-dial at the 6 o'clock position. The dial is signed "CHRONOMETRE LIP." The manual wind movement is in working order.
