Art Deco Star Sapphire Diamond Ring
Circa 1920. This fabulous Art Deco ring features a pierced platinum design bordered with milgrain edging. The ring features a stunning 35.50-carat bezel-set, oval cabochon-cut natural star sapphire. The top half of the ring is accented with 74 bead-set, old European/single-cut diamonds, weighing 1.11 carats in total with SI1-SI2 clarity and F-G color. Engraved floral and wheat motifs accent the shank.
Appraised Value: $26,800
The ring measures 20.7mm at the top, rises 13.0mm above the finger, tapering to 1.5mm wide and 1.0mm thick at the base of the shank.
