Dated 1826. This rare pair of 18KT Georgian swivel mourning rings were created in memory of the same person. The ring faces feature the enamel depiction of a funerary urn haloed within a ring of seed pearls, which represent tears. Engraved in enamel on each shank is the inscription:  'Ralph Hardwick OB 1 Aug 1813 AET 26.'  (AET stands for "at the age of.") We are selling these rings as a pair only.

These rings measure 16mm by 15mm across the top, the shank measures 10mm tapering to 4mm at the bottom of the shank. The larger ring is a size 7 and the smaller ring is a size 4.75. We will not separate the rings.

We size the majority of our rings; sizing takes approximately two weeks and is complimentary for most pieces, with the occasional exception.
