Midcentury Diamond & Sapphire Crossover Ring
Circa 1950. This fabulous Midcentury ring features a lovely 1.10-carat old European-cut diamond and one round mixed-cut natural sapphire both prong-set in platinum. The diamond exhibits SI1 clarity and J color. The bypass-style shank is accented with ten bezel-set, baguette-cut diamonds. The accent diamonds weigh .40 carats in total, with VS1-VS2 clarity and E-F color.
Appraised Value: $15,500
The ring measures 13.2mm at the top, rises 6.4mm above the finger, tapering to 1.9mm wide and 1.2mm thick at the base of the shank.
