Midcentury Norwegian Necklace and Bracelet

Circa 1950. This fabulous Midcentury sterling silver necklace and bracelet set feature links accented with black and white enamel. The pieces were crafted in Norway by Aksel Holmsen. Holmsen started his own silversmith shop in 1904 after studying under David Andersen for several years. His specialty was silver work accented with enamel. This necklace and earring set is a lovely example of Holmsen's work.
The necklace measures 16 inches long and the bracelet measures 7 inches. The width of the necklace is 22mm and the bracelet is 30mm.
