Victorian 9KT Watch Chain/Necklace

Circa 1890. This wonderful Victorian watch chain features double and single links of 9KT gold interspersed with longer double links. The chain measures 16.25 inches in length. Watch chains with bars on one end (where they were fastened to a pocket) were called "Albert Chains" after Prince Albert who wore this style and made it popular. It is most common for women to wear this particular style of chain as a necklace. They are unique and it's so easy to add your favorite locket or pendant.
