Victorian Garnet Snake Ring
Dated 1875; Birmingham, England. This beautiful 18KT gold snake ring features bezel-set, rose-cut diamond eyes. It is also accented with a deep claret-colored faceted garnet adorning the crown of the snake's head. Snake rings were all the rage after Queen Victoria was given a snake engagement ring from Prince Albert, symbolizing eternal love. The allure of this ring is just as strong today - almost 150 years later!
This ring is 7mm wide and the top, tapering to 5mm at the bottom of the shank. The ring is currently a size 8.5.
We size the majority of our rings; sizing takes approximately two weeks and is complimentary for most pieces, with the occasional exception.
