We have always loved pearls, but our adoration for them has grown to outrageous levels thanks to the amazing pieces in our heirloom collection.
For us at Isadoras, pearl jewelry has always had in place in our lives – whether it was a simple strand worn as a young girl, or sweet, classic pearl studs that paired perfectly with any ensemble.
Pearls have long been desired by cultures around the world. In the Roman Empire, these “jewels of the sea” were a luxurious status symbol; in the 17th and 18th centuries pearls adorned lavish pieces that were often displayed in a provocative manner; later the gems embellished sentimental 19th century jewelry, expressing love or sometimes grief.
We take pleasure in the truly exotic, spirited beauty of vintage pearls, which are so very alive; you can feel their warm luster against your skin.
The antique pearl jewelry at Isadoras is truly exquisite – rare, distinctive pieces that have their own stories to tell, stories we may never know, but that we hold dear as an integral part of the pearl’s enduring mystery and grace.

At Isadoras, we have an incredible selection of showstopping Retro Era right-hand rings. Vintage cocktail rings are some of our favorite pieces to wear while in the store. Whether you stack them, or pair them with other well-loved pieces, these fantastic rings make a bold statement - confident, stylish, and classic!
The Retro Era (mid-1930s to early 1950s) is one of the most exciting eras in vintage jewelry. During this time, women’s traditional roles were changing. Millions of women joined the workforce during World War II and filled jobs that had previously belonged to men.
Jewelry was often the chief decorative motif in women’s fashion, and women began buying their own jewelry to express their strong presence in society.
Influenced by Hollywood glamour, Retro Era jewelers created massive, bold, three-dimensional designs featuring angles and geometry that reflected a glorification of the machine. On the other hand, jewelers also emphasized the feminine, but in dramatic fashion, creating articulated bows, fabric folds, and flowers.
The resulting Retro Era cocktail rings were wildly unusual, beautiful, and magnificent. Designed using uncommon shapes and two-tone metals, these amazing rings often showcased cool aquamarines, silvery pearls, and stunning citrines - accented with sparkling diamonds. Truly decadent and dramatic!
The right-hand ring has been a concept for some time, so the modern woman can choose pieces from whichever era matches her style best. We have many wonderful clients who mix cocktail rings from different eras every opportunity they get!
