Circa 1899. This stunning baroque-style Victorian ring features a central ruby, haloed by scallop-set diamonds and accented on either side with two additional rubies. The mixed-cut natural rubies weigh .94 carats total. The eight old European-cut accent diamonds weigh .56 carats total, with a VS2-SI1 clarity and G-H color. The ring was hand assembled and is stamped with the Chester assay office hallmark.
Appraised Value: $5,700.
The ring measures 12.1mm at the top, rising 5.5mm above the finger, tapering to 2.2mm wide and 1.1mm thick at the base of the shank.
